Now that the weather is cooling down, we wanted to put together a guide of things to do in Tangipahoa Parish this month! The best part about this time of year is that there is always something going on. Here are a few events that may peak your interest!
The Renaissance Festival
Immerse yourself in the 16th century this month by visiting the Renaissance Festival! From entertaining shows to delicious food, you’ll want to visit the Village of Albright more than once. You can purchase tickets and view the schedule at www.larf.org.
Hammond Farmer’s Market
Located in the heart of downtown Hammond, the Farmer’s Market is the perfect place to shop local vendors and support the community. Enjoy live music while browsing the locally grown produce, hand crafted jewelry, baked goods and unique art. The Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday from 8am until 12pm. You certainly won’t be disappointed! To see a list of vendors, click here.
Starry November Night
Similar to Hot August Nights, Starry November Night is a great opportunity to take the family out for a night of fun. Check out the live music in front of La Caretta or participate in the annual Wine and Cheese Walk! There are also many activities for the kids such as a visit from Santa and a train ride through downtown! Mark your calendars for Friday, November 16th from 6-10 because you don’t want to miss out! Gnarly Barley is hosting a Dog Adoption Day to support National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week! Head over to the brewery on Saturday November 10th from 12-5 to show your support. Even if you don’t plan on adopting a dog, part of the proceeds from Catahoula Common products will be donated to our local animal shelter.
Annual Christmas Lighting
The Christmas Lighting in Ponchatoula is the perfect place to take your family at the end of the month. Not only will there be food and live music but Santa will also be making an appearance! The lighting will be on Friday, November 30th at 6pm.
