Ponchatoula Christmas Lighting
When: December 6
Where: Downtown Ponchatoula
Time: 6-8 PM
"Mayor will be flipping the switch to light the town of Ponchatoula. There will be lots of food, fun and hot chocolate. Santa will be on the steps of Collinswood Museum with candy canes for the kids. Such a great night to socialize and get the holiday spirit."

Hammond Christmas Parade
When: December 7
Where: Downtown Hammond
Time: 5:30 PM
Cypress Pointe Hospital is proud to present the Rotary Club of Hammond 61st Annual Christmas Parade Saturday, December 7, 2019 starting at 5:30pm. This year's theme is “I'll  Be Home for Christmas”.

Tangipahoa Parish Ball
When: December 28
Where: The Event Center La Maison Celebrazione
Time: 8 PM
The inaugural Tangipahoa Parish Ball will be the highlight end of the year event for everyone. The location is beautiful.

20th Annual Holiday of Lights
When: Recurring Weekly Between December 6-14
Where: Tammany Trace Kids Town Pavillion
Time: 6-8:30 PM
The Annual Holiday of Lights on Koop Drive in Mandeville kicks off on Friday, December 6 at 5:45pm. This free event runs run for two consecutive weekends — Friday, December 6; Saturday, December 7; Friday, December 13; and Saturday, December 14, 2019. Enjoy entertainment from local schools, area performance groups and other organizations, holiday décor and free kiddie rides by Mitchell Brothers Amusement.

A Very Merry Christmas Spectacular
When: December 6-15
Where: 30 by Ninety Theatre
Time: 7 PM
'Tis the season to be jolly, fa la la la la.... Bring the whole family to this spirited celebration of the holidays featuring a variety of acts by local performers of all ages. Singing, dancing, comedy and so much more will certainly get you ready for the holidays!
A Very Merry Christmas Spectacular, directed by Arianne Poole, is on stage December 6, 7, 13 and 14 at 7:00pm and December 8 and 15 at 2:30pm.

Christmas in Olde Towne
When: December 6
Where: Olde Towne Slidell
Time: 5-10 PM
Bring your friends, family and pets to the Olde Towne Crawl block party for live music, local vendors, arts and crafts, shopping, kids' activities, food and beverages, pet adoptions, and more. Bring your chairs!
The Olde Towne Crawl is held on the first Fridays of March, April, May, October, November and December, from 5pm to 10pm, at the 2200 Block of Carey St., between Robert and Cousin Streets. The event is pet friendly.

3rd Annual Grinch Mas

Where: Meribo Pizza

He's hairy, he's green, he's lovable (kinda) and he's back at Meribo Pizza with his favorite little girl Cindy Lou Who! Gonzales Tree Lighting
When: December 3
Where: Gonzales Civic Center
Time: Varies
The 28th Annual tree lighting will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd. There will also be a Mayors Prayer Breakfast as well as a Senior Citizens Christmas Party. For more information click here.

Christmas Crusade Shopping Night
When: December 12
Where: Walmart in Gonzales
Time: 6:30-8:30 PM
Annual Christmas Crusade Shopping Night for the general public. If you would like to volunteer, please show up at 6:30 p.m. and you will be given a card with requested gift list items and are able to shop wit expenses paid by the APSO. Deep South Bayou Duals
When: December 27-28
Where: Lamar Dixon Expo Center
Time: 9 am
The Deep South Bayou Duals is one of the premier high school wrestling events in the region, and features some of the top teams from around the United States. Our goal is to offer participating teams plenty of quality matches as we constantly strive to bring in excellent competition and diverse styles of wrestling.  We also thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to expose our out of state friends to a little bit of Cajun Country.

2020 New Years Eve Party

"Y’all get your boogies shoes shined up. It’s time for our 4th annual 2020 New Years Eve party with Ryan Foret and Foret Tradition. It’s hard to believe this will be our 4th year. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. No tickets at the door!!! they can be purchased in person or on eventbrite.com. Camper spots are available through Lamar Dixon. I can’t wait to see how much money we raise for Anything Outdoors this year"

Zoo Lights
When: Recurring Until December 30
Where: Baton Rouge Zoo
Time: 5:30-9 PM
A festive mile-long trail through the Zoo with more than 50 illuminated display sculptures of animals and traditional holiday displays.

Admissions open 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Zoo grounds close at 9 p.m.

Festival of Lights
When: December 6
Where: North Boulevard Town Square
Time: 4-9 PM
"Experience the magic of the holiday with the lighting of the 35-foot Christmas Tree and fireworks at North Boulevard Town Square. Enjoy free ice skating, play in ten tons of real snow at the Snow Village, see holiday performers, face painters, a balloon artist, stilt walkers, and of course....SANTA! Check the list of events at the Snow Village, Santa’s Gift Shop, Open Houses, and more!"

Santa in the Senate
When: December 6
Where: Louisiana Old State Capitol
Time: 6:30-8:30 PM
Guests are invited to the Louisiana Old State Capitol for a special photo-op and other holiday festivities. Louisiana’s Old State Capitol will host their annual “Santa in The Senate” on Friday, Dec. 6 from 6:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. Guests will have the opportunity to take their photo with Mr. & Mrs. Claus in the old Senate Chamber and then enjoy a Christmas film in the old House Chamber. Guests are encouraged to bring their own cameras or cell phone to take pictures. There will be arts and crafts for children to partake in and a special treat upon existing the building.

Nottoway Plantation 10th Annual Bonfire Festival

Where: Nottoway Plantation
Time: 5-10 PM
Come experience the magic of the holiday season at Nottoway Plantation's 10th Annual Bonfire Festival.  You'll experience a night filled with music, food, vendors, bonfires, fireworks, Santa and more!

Ochsner's Farmers Market
When: Recurring Weekly
Where: Ochsner West Campus
Time: 3-7 PM
Local farmers and vendors will offer locally-grown, fresh produce, seafood, and more at this Crescent City Farmer's Market! Every Wednesday (with a summer break for the months of August & September), 3-7PM
The market will feature:
• Local, seasonal fruits and vegetables
• Grassfed beef, lamb and pork
• Local fish, shrimp and crab
• Fruit, vegetable, herb, flower and bedding plants and plant starts
• Local honey, honey comb and bee pollen
• Baked goods and prepared foods

Christmas in Lafreniere Park
When: Recurring Daily
Where: Lafreniere Park
Constructed with over 10 million LED lights, this year’s exhibit feature elaborate decorations and festive lighted displays. New displays this year include a Hot Wheels display, a Hello Kitty figure and new animal hanging ornaments along with old favorites like a lighted 60-foot Sea Serpent in the lagoon, a princess and her magical castle and the gingerbread man.

Kenner Christmas Village
When: December 6-28
Where: City of Kenner
Time: 6-9 PM
The Annual Christmas Village will light up Kenner this holiday season. Transformed into a festive holiday village with beautiful Christmas lights, animated scenery and snow every weekend!

Harahan Christmas Parade
When: December 14
Where: Jefferson Highway
Time: 12 PM
Celebrate the holidays at the Harahan Christmas parade! Enjoy floats, bands, dance teams and the man of the hour, Santa Claus!

Christmas Family Movie Night
When: December 6
Where: Courthouse Square
Time: 7:30-9:30 PM
This year's film feature is Disney's The Muppet Christmas Carol. This is a free event with seating on a first-come, first-served basis.

Christmas Festival and Parade
When: December 7
Where: Houma Main Street
Time: 12-9 PM
The annual Christmas Festival is geared towards entertaining children and family for the day, with many non-profits partnering to provide free games for the children. The parade starts at 5 p.m. at Terrebonne High School with we have 32 floats riding in the parade. Parish President Dove and his family will be starting the parade welcoming everyone to downtown Houma and wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas.

Rudolph's Route-Downtown Shopping Spree
When: December 12
Where: Downtown Houma
Time: 10 AM-6 PM
Support local businesses during this downtown Houma annual shopping spree.

Papa Noel's Cajun Christmas
When: December 14
Where: Houma Visitor's Center
Time: 4-7 PM
Come and celebrate a Bayou Country Christmas at the Houma Visitors Center!

Christmas at the Complex
When: December 6
Where: Sidney Torres Park
Time: 5 PM
St. Bernard Parish President Guy McInnis invites the public to attend the 4th Annual Christmas at the Complex on Friday, December 6th at 5:00 p.m. The Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at 6:00 p.m. in Sidney Torres Park behind the Government Complex located at 8201 W. Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette. Festivities include photos with Santa, train rides, cookies and hot chocolate while listening to the caroling of our own St. Bernard Parish School children. Los Islenos Christmas Bonfire

Where: Los Islenos Museum Complex

The Annual Christmas Bonfire is held on Saturday, December 7th and will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the Los Islenos Museum Complex located at 1357 Bayou Road, St. Bernard, La. For more information call 504-277-4681.

Santa on the Bayou

Where: Bayou Road
Time: 10 AM-2 PM
Santa on the Bayou begins at 10:00 a.m. and runs through 2:00 p.m. at the St. Bernard Catholic Church located at 2805 Bayou Road, in St. Bernard, La. 70085. Santa will provide food, a live Nativity narration, games, face-painting and toys for children who attend. For more information call 504-279-4260.

Donuts with Santa

Donuts with Santa Holiday Event will be held on December 14th from 9am-11am at the Civic Center (8235 W. Judge Perez Drive)

Lockport Christmas Tree Lighting

Enjoy a Christmas celebration Cajun-style at the Bayou Side Park with a Christmas tree lighting, refreshments, toys for the children, and much more. Santa and Frosty will be making a stop! Free and open to the public.

Lockport Christmas Parade

A festive Cajun Christmas parade through the town of Lockport.

A Bayou Christmas Teddy Bear Tea
When: December 7-15
Where: Chez Felicite' Bed and Breakfast
Time: Varies
Our elves are busy preparing for the third annual A Bayou Christmas Teddy Bear Tea at Chez Felicite'. This festive event will be the perfect holiday experience to share with children and grandchildren.
Enjoy a presentation of delicious holiday food, specialty teas, hot chocolate, and tasty pastries. Holiday characters will entertain and delight with music, story time, games and a special teddy bear gift for all children in attendance followed by a teddy bear parade. Be sure to sit for a family photo in our beautifully decorated 100+ year old horse-drawn carriage.
We will begin to accept reservations on Monday, November 4, 2019. Tickets are $35 for adults and $25 for children ages 2 - 11. Children must be accompanied by an adult. All reservations are pre-paid and non-refundable. There are 6 tea times available, but seating is limited. For more information, click here.

Papa Noel at the Bayou Country Children's Museum

Where: Bayou Country Children's Museum
Come dressed in pajamas for this family fun Christmas celebration! Crafts, story time, play time, a visit from Papa Noel, and more are included in this event. Tickets must be purchased online to attend. Spots are limited so purchase your tickets now on the website link.
